Subscription Terms

Per-website billing, cancellation, and what happens if a payment fails.

Version 0.2.0-draft · Effective

One plan, priced per website

Midcrowd has one plan, Midcrowd Standard. Each website costs US$0.99 for its first billing period and US$19.99 per month from the second billing period onward. Every website you create is its own subscription, with its own billing period, its own invoices and its own cancellation — and its own first period at US$0.99, however many websites you already have. The introductory price applies once per website: a website that has already had it does not receive it again if its subscription is cancelled and restarted. Every template, both site modes and every feature are included on every website; there is no higher tier.

Billing

Each website's subscription starts when you pay for that website and renews automatically at the end of each monthly period until you cancel it. You are charged for each website separately, to the payment method held for your account. The price is shown before you pay. If we change the price, the change applies to new subscriptions immediately and to an existing website only from its next renewal after we have told you.

Cancelling a website

You can cancel any website's subscription at any time from that website's Billing screen. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for: the website stays fully online until that date, and you can undo the cancellation at any point before it. When the period ends the website is unpublished and becomes read-only; everything in it is kept for you to reactivate later. Cancelling one website never affects your other websites or your account.

If a payment fails

If a payment for a website fails, that website stays online while we retry the payment method over the following days, and we tell you. If the payment is still unresolved at the end of the retry period, that website — and only that website — is unpublished and switched to read-only. Nothing is deleted: its pages, products, orders, media and custom domain are kept, and paying again brings it straight back.

What we keep

We do not automatically delete a website whose subscription has ended. It stays in your account, read-only, until you delete it yourself. Deletion is your action, never ours, and a deleted website's Midcrowd address is reserved for you for a further 30 days.
